Digitization and Competition

The digitization of the economy and of daily life is currently the focus topic of competition law enforcement. This is not only illustrated by the prominent proceedings of the European Commission against Google, Amazon and Apple and by the Bundeskartellamt against Facebook and Amazon. The adjustment of competition law to the digital world is also the key topic of current legislative initiatives as for example the 10th amendment to the German Competition Law and the revision of the European Vertical Block Exemption Regulation.
